Hi, this is Daniel Jones and welcome to AMEHQ! So, let me start by giving a short introduction of myself.
I have been in the Automobile industry for the last 5 years, since graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a premier university in NJ. I have had the great privilege to work with two of the largest automobile giants over the years in varied capacities.
But then, my passion for automobiles and engineering shot up to a whole new level, and here I am, working on my own blog! For all the automobile freaks like me out there, a car is not just a vehicle to move from one place to another. It’s something else, and only we understand that, don’t we?! 😉
I have set up this site with two main purposes:
Knowledge
They say, “Knowledge is Power”. At AMEHQ, we say, “Knowledge is Horsepower”! Well, jokes apart, we have created a separate ‘Knowledge and How-Tos‘ section that will provide you with a lot of information about your car and its mechanics without killing you of boredom. Trust me, your driving experience won’t remain the same if you keep reading them regularly!
Product Reviews
Automobile freak or not, it’s very highly probable that you have struggled with making a quick buying decision when it has something to do with your car. And why not, after all, your car is a priceless possession and it ought to be treated with the utmost care and respect! This is where we come in. From your car’s interiors to the parts and the overall maintenance, we cover it all!
Our Approach
We are a team of 4 people at AMEHQ, where I am responsible for research and writing, a research assistant, a WordPress manager, and a technical manager, all of whom work tirelessly in order to enhance your experience on the site.
When working on product reviews, I swear by this 2-step approach:
- I physically visit the stores and take full details from the salespeople there. At times, I directly contact the manufacturers.
- Getting the customer’s side of the story is equally important when preparing product reviews. Since I have a lot of colleagues and friends who share my enthusiasm for cars, I usually find someone to provide feedback on a certain product. In the worst case, I thoroughly analyze customer reviews on Amazon, eBay etc.
